200 Watts Power Output
The FTV-1000 utilizes the 30-volt power supply of the Mark-V to provide 200 Watts of power output on the six-meter band. Compared to the typical 100-Watt rig on the band, this is the equivalent of stacking another antenna on your tower! Class A operation is also available at the 50-Watt level, as on the Mark-V mainframe.

Dual Preamplifiers Depending on your local noise profle, you may choose either of two receiver input preamplifiers. For operation from a very quiet location on esoteric modes like EME (Moonbounce), the higher gain of Preamp 2 can make a significant difference in signal detection.

Class-A Bias Selection When Class A is selected, power putput is reduced to 50 Watts, while 5th- and higher-order transmitter IMD typically falls to -65 dB or better, ensuring that you have the cleanest signal on the band. Because Class A involves a continuous-duty dissipation of about 200 Watts, the thermostatically-controlled fan system ensures thermal stability during Class A operation.

Power Up with the VL-1000 Linear Amplifier
For an even bigger voice on 6 meters, choose teh VL-1000 linear amplifier, which includes coverage of the HF bands plus six meters! Providing at least 500 Watts of power output (even more when operating from 240 Volts AC), the VL-1000 will help make you a "big gun" on the 50 MHz band!!

The FT-1802M provides a hefty 50 Watts of power otput, with "low power" settings of 25, 10, and 5 Watts, for situations where full power is not required.

The FT-1802M provides receiver coverage of 136-174 MHz, so you can listen in on a wide variety of commercial, military, public safety, and marine communications.


Illuminated Microphone with Keyboard Frequency Entry

The microphone gain for the FT-1802M's transmitter is adjustable, so you can optimize it for your voice level as well as background noise in your operating location. And for operation in crowded channel environments, the TX deviation and RX bandwidth may both be reduced via the Menu.


Automatic Repeater Shift (ARS), Automatic Power-Off (APO), and BCLO (Busy Channel Lock-Out)
ARS: Automatically selects the typical repeater shift used in your country, based on the current operating frequency. APO: Automatically turns power off after a user-defined time period, to prevent you from running down your car battery if you forget to turn your rig off. BCLO: Prevents you from transmitting on an occupied frequency (especially valuable during Tone Squelch or DCS operation).


CW Trainer

With the "Weather Alert" feature enabled, the FT-2800M will scan the ten Weather memories, stopping only if the 1050-Hz tone is received.

MH-48A6J DTMF Direct Access Microphone
The backlit MH-48A6J microphone allows direct keypad frequency entry, or keypad memory channel recall. On transmit, the MH-48A6J allows manual entry of DTMF tones for autopatch use, and the FT-2800M also includes a nine-memory, 16-digit DTMF Autodialer. Four user-programmable "soft" keys on the microphone may be programmed for easy control of a number of different features, and the [A]//[C]/[D] keys replicate the functions of the keys on the front panel of the transceiver, for maximum convenience while driving.

Ultra Compact, Ultra Rugged!
The VX-2 series unbelievably small, 1 Amp-hour Lithium-Ion battery pack powers a high-efficiency PA circuit to provide as much as 3 Watts (144 MHz) when using an external power source. This from a case even smaller than that of the VX-1R: 1.89" x 3.19" x 0.91" WHD (47 x 81 x 23 mm, w/o knob and antenna), weighing just 4.7 ounces (132 g, including antenna/FNB-82LI Battery). With its rugged die-cast aluminum chassis, the VX-2 series is built to last, and its big voice will get your transmission through!

Up to 3 Watts of Power Output!
Despite its compact size, the VX-2 series provides 1.5 Watts of 144 MHz power output (430 MHz: 1 Watt) while using the internal FNB-85LI Lithium-Ion Battery pack. Connect the optional E-DC-21 DC Adapter Cable, and power output increases to 3 Watts on 144 MHz, and 2 Watts on 430 MHz! And while the "Low Power" setting may be used for short-range communications, you can just touch the [F] key to engage "High" power for one transmission!

Wide-Band Receiver Coverage!

Scanning Modes for All Occasions!
The VX-2 series allows you to scan just the memory channels, the entire operating band, or a portion of that band. 100 Programmable Band-Limit Memories!
To limit scanning within a user-defined sub-band range, or to prevent incursion into the SSB/CW portions of the bands, you may utilize the 50 pairs of Programmable Memory Scan memories to establish sub-band limits for tuning or scanning.

Preferential Scan List
